DESCRIPTION:**Our Sports Climbing Level 3 Certification is certified under Singapore National Climbing Standards (SNCS)** \nClass Size: 4 pax only. Slots are secured only after payment has been made.\nObjective: To introduce the techniques of climbing bolted multi-pitch routes safely. \nPre-requisite:\n– At least be 16years of age\n– Has Sport Climbing Course Level Two certificate or equivalent; and Abseil Proficiency Course Level One certificate or equivalent*\n*This course builds on the basic skills learned in the abovementioned courses. Hence\, trainees should be familiar and confident with these basic skills before undertaking this course. \n******************************************************\nSyllabus\n1. Lead Climbing\n– Artificial Climbing Walls vs Natural Rocks\n– Types of protection points\n– Multi-pitch climbing\n2. Introducing Equipment for Multi-Pitch Climb (usage\, care & limitation)\n– Dynamic ropes (Single/Half/Twin)\n– Accessory Cords/Prusiks (various diameters)\n– Quickdraws\n– Slings (Runners)/ Tapes (safety slings\, extension as Runners\, anchors)\n– Belay devices\n– Circular descending devices (e.g. Figure-of-8\, Harpoon)\n– Planular descending devices (e.g. Stich Plate)\n– Tubular descending devices (e.g. ATC)\n– In-Line adjustable devices (e.g. Rack)\n– Auto-locking descending devices (e.g. Gri Gri\, Cinch\, Stop)\n3. Knots & Hitches (usage\, limitation\, dressing)\n– Double Figure of 8 knot with double bight\n– Friction knots (Standard/Classic\, Klemheist\, French)\n– Overhand knot\n– Clove Hitch\n– Italian Hitch (Munter)\n4. Anchor System\n– Criteria for anchors\n– Types of anchors (Self-equalized\, Isolated/Static\, Rope anchors)\n5. Multi-Pitch Climb\n– Leading & seconding – changeover\n– Setting up anchors (using slings/tapes\, ropes)\n– Belaying (direct & indirect)\n– Pre-climb checks\n– Climbing commands\n– Safety considerations (anchors\, fall factor\, buddy check)\n6. Course Review \nPassing Standards: Trainees must demonstrate the following –\n1. Setup anchor system for multi-pitch climb\n2. Belaying a climber using both direct & indirect belay system\n3.
