Make a Difference

Derek, the director of RockerFellas Adventure Pte Ltd is a qualified instructor, and conducts Singapore National Climbing Standard (SNCS) Levels 1 to 3, Singapore National Abseiling Standard (SNAS) Levels 1 and 2, Climbing Activity Supervisor Course, and also Instructor Training Course (ITC).

Many who were under his tutelage have gone on to become instructors themselves, paying it forward and imparting knowledge to a new generation of climbers. Like any other teacher who yearns to see their students surpass them one day, Derek has been very heartened to see his students forging ahead, to make sport climbing more accessible to the masses.

Exploring the world

Apart from running SNCS, SNAS courses and ITC, RockerFellas also regularly organizes overseas hiking and climbing trips to places like Malaysia, Thailand, and China, just to name a few. It aims to help introduce outdoor climbing, to climbers who have been in indoor gyms all their lives, and to get them realize the beauty of the great outdoors.
